Why Southern Careers Institute?

We have offered medical and business programs since 1992, and in 1994 the pharmacy technician program was introduced. Today, SCI offers a variety of programs in the fields of medical, pharmacy, business, technology, and skilled trades such as Automotive, HVAC, and Welding. Since opening its doors in 1960, Southern Careers Institute (SCI) has expanded its facilities to include eight campuses located in Austin, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Harlingen, Pharr, San Antonio, and Waco, as well as Online courses.

SCI’s career services team works with local employers to match employers’ needs with our graduates’ skills. In addition, they offer a variety of valuable services, such as: resume building, job readiness training, interviewing techniques, guest speakers, and so much more!
